Yesterday, I happened to go to the post office with a couple other leaders. It was so crazy there because everyone was trying to mail letters and postcards to get 08-08-08 stamped on them. While I was waiting for my friends, I just happened to run into my friend Lin Lin, who goes to Northern, but is from Beijing. Her friend Jing Gu was with her who also goes to Northern. I was so excited to see them and it was such a coincidence to run into them. We met up with DJ and all 4 of us went out to eat lunch. Lin is heading back to the US today for school so it was my only chance to see her and we just happened to run into each other!

Last night, we got to watch in Opening Ceremonies on big screen tv in a local park. The ciy of Beijing set up numerous viewing areas for locals to watch the Opening Ceremony since most will not be able to see any events in person. It was an amazing ceremony as many of you probably saw.

Today we were busy with meetings and getting everyone's schedules finalized. Tonight Jordan and I are planning to go shopping and do some haggling!! I can't wait for all the good deals! Earlier I bought 1/2 a watermelon for $1!!

Tomorrow we are starting with our daily activities like sight seeing, Olympic events, and some volunteering.

I just saw that Brett Farve was traded to the Jets :( Sad day...at least it wasn't the Vikings.
